GM GLOBAL B SEED KEY CALCULATOR
Use an approved GM diagnostic or engineering application to start a security access routine on the target Global B module and capture the seed value returned by the ECU during the challenge phase.
Launch the Global B Seed Calculator on your Windows PC and enter the captured seed exactly as presented (typically as a hexadecimal string) into the SEED field.
Trigger the calculation to obtain the corresponding key value and copy it into your authorized diagnostic application when prompted to complete the security access sequence.
Proceed with the required service operations (such as configuration, module replacement or calibration updates) strictly within OEM guidelines and legal restrictions.
Store all activity logs securely and keep original module data and configuration as backups in case you need to revert changes after testing.
Operating systems
The Global B Seed Calculator is a lightweight desktop tool and follows the same general requirements as most small automotive utilities:
Intended for Microsoft Windows operating systems commonly used in workshops (for example Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10).
Runs as a standard Win32 desktop application and does not require dedicated server components or internet connectivity during calculation.
Can be used alongside GM DPS, Techline-based applications or other UDS diagnostic suites on the same PC, provided those tools support Global B vehicles.
